The Founding Fathers didn’t hate Britain, they hated what it had become. What was once the origins of Western liberty had turned into an oppressive regime where a King had become drunk on power and addicted to war. The Founding Fathers tried tirelessly to reconcile with the King but this didn’t work. The rest, as they say, is history.
After seeing the Enough is Enough video the other week, I saw a side of Ron Paul I have only witnessed in videos form his younger days. The sheer frustration in his voice is overwhelming! How did we get to the point that Federal employees, who only have 8 – 12 hours of training and who get paid a pathetic $17k a year, have been given the power to view people virtually naked or touch them in intimate places reserved for one’s lover or doctor. The insanity of this entire fiasco is like a bad episode of the Twilight Zone!
When I first wrote about the insanity of the TSA about 3 weeks ago, not much was in the mainstream media. A lot can change in 3 weeks.
It appears Americans have had enough. Anti-TSA blogs are popping up all over the place;
The following article is not my own work. It can be found here. The author asked that people “spread this message to everyone you can find” so that is exactly what I am doing.
I will be taking part in this. My wife and I are going to Vermont for Christmas which is a 9 hour drive. We will be driving and not flying.
Man has always dreamt of flying. Our history is full of examples going as far back as the Ancient Greeks with the tale of Icarus. Leonarda Da Vinci was dreaming of flying machines during the renaissance, the Montgolfier brothers were soaring the skies in hot air balloons before the American Constitution was written, and the Wright brothers hold the record for the first flight of an airplane. Since that historical flight back in 1903, planes became the main fighting force in WW2 which was up until then the privilege of the Navy and had been for centuries. The Comet became the first passenger airplane in 1949 to utilise jet engines. Man broke the speed barrier for the first time in recorded history! Man had achieved his dream and then some. Man could now fly.
I am a veteran. I served in Iraq in 2003. I took the time this morning to write an e-mail to Lew Rockwell at LewRockwell.com which he subsequently posted it on the sites blog. It can be viewed below and here. I also ask that anybody who feels the desire to leave jingoistic knee jerk comments to keep the language clean and constructive.
