While reading a revisited version of Thomas Paine’s: Common Sense, it intrigued my interest and I thought this could be a good topic of debate.
Why is it that Americans, as indigenous people, accept a top-down model of government & society today? A top-down model of government follows this order & power-
1- federal government
2- state government
3- county government
4- city government
5- township/civic organizations
Yesterday we marched on with our continual journey to restore sound money in America. As we do every year, the concerned patriots across the nation gathered and held end the fed rallies. The federal reserve is a private central banking system that is tasked with regulating the flow of cash & credit in the country. How is it that private banks and the federal reserve can create our money and collect interest on it? Nowhere in the U.S. Constitution does it give the authority to a private bank to regulate, control, print & collect interest on our nations currency. Article 1 Section 8 says the following:
The Congress shall have Power To lay and collect Taxes, Duties, Imposts and Excises, to pay the Debts and provide for the common Defence and general Welfare of the United States; but all Duties, Imposts and Excises shall be uniform throughout the United States;
To coin Money, regulate the Value thereof, and of foreign Coin, and fix the Standard of Weights and Measures;
While we sit down on our couches and watch the news, we can be fairly certain that the government is assaulting our liberties probably every time they convene in Washington D.C. The Transportation Security Administration (TSA), which is a part of Department of Homeland Security (DHS) which was authorized under the Patriot Act takes it to whole new levels almost daily.
Not only do they pat you down & search your bags, but people don’t understand that the mere existence of TSA is stifling business throughout the entire airport. Whether it be for the airlines or the companies that operate out of the airport that sell merchandise, I’m sure profits have declined drastically since the TSA has taken over the reigns of security checks.
The circus that is known as election time is upon us. On November 2nd, citizens of the USA get to elect which sociopathic dimwit gets to rule represent us for the next couple of years. Amongst the usual rhetoric in order to persuade the ‘useful idiots’ to vote for assclown 1 over assclown 2 is the call to ‘tax the rich!’. After all, they can afford it and god forbid people have to live off there own labour rather than stealing from others. The cry to tax the rich particularly irks me though as politicians get the useful idiots all riled up as they believe they can get something for nothing.
Let me start with definition of a company in the context I mean;
3b : an association of persons for carrying on a commercial or industrial enterprise
To this end, a two man plumbing team or a huge multi-national corporation such as coca-cola can be defined as companies.
In today’s world, companies such as Goldman Sachs or Monsanto are considered ‘evil’. But why? What makes them ‘evil’?
We the People of the United States, in Order to form a more perfect Union, establish Justice, insure domestic Tranquility, provide for the common defence, promote the general Welfare, and secure the Blessings of Liberty to ourselves and our Posterity, do ordain and establish this Constitution for the United States of America.
There is such beauty in those words and a simple truth that is often overlooked. In one paragraph we can see the entire purpose for which our ancestors rose up and made themselves free men and the thinking that influenced the inception of the greatest nation the world has ever seen.
